On December 20, 2015, Passport to Pittsburgh Custom Tours guests were treated to an afternoon of Paris in Pittsburgh on a special holiday tour called "Joyeux Noel", which means "Merry Christmas" en Francais.
The afternoon escape started with a French roast coffee at The Dancing Bean, www.thedancingbean.com then we headed to Paris 66, www.paris66bistro.com where tour guests dined on a sumptuous Parisian brunch of crepes, eggs Provencal, croissants and Kir Royales. The staff at Paris 66 could not have been more gracious. Our server, Marie-lise, talked with guests about the customs in her native France and particularly in the Alsace-Lorraine region. Merci Beaucoup Marie-lise!
From there we were off to the beautiful French Gothic Calvary Episcopal Church www.calvarypgh.org to enjoy a concert of the Chatham Baroque called "Paris in Pittsburgh". www.chathambaroque.org The setting was impressive and the period music of rare French and German Christmas carols was a treat. On the journey home, guests enjoyed Perrier and madeleines from La Gourmandine Bakery. www.lagourmandinebakery.com It was so lovely to have spent an afternoon in Paris... Merci beaucoup to all the guests and vendors who helped make this Passport to Pittsburgh adventure magnifique!
