DAY ONE–Wednesday, August 14, 2024
6:30 a.m.: Depart Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 450 Maxwell Drive, Pittsburgh, a 15236. Guests of Passport to Pittsburgh have been given permission to park for two nights in their lot.
8:30 a.m.: Rest stop and fast food breakfast on your own.
Noon-2 p.m.: Lunch and sightseeing at the The Table Rock House Restaurant, 6345 Niagara River Parkway Niagara Falls, ON L2G 0L0 Canada. Located in the heart of Queen Victoria Park, enjoy your lunch at Niagara Parks’ oldest restaurant since 1904. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Horseshoe Falls and a seasonal locally sourced dining experience.
2:30-3:30 p.m.: Bella Terra Vineyards, 925 Line 2 Rd. Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada. Nestled amongst the sprawling vineyards of the prestigious Four Mile Creek sub-appellation, Bella Terra Vineyards sits on a 50-acre grape farm that has been tended to by the Puglisi family since 1974. Guests will enjoy a private wine tasting experience and time to shop .
4 p.m.: Check into the The Pillar and Post Inn and Spa, 6 Picton Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada. Baggage handling and breakfast each morning are included during your two night stay in this award-winning hotel located in the heart of historic Niagara-on-the-lake. An oasis of Victorian elegance, the hotel is filled with 21st century comforts and unique experiences of a bygone era.
5:30-8 p.m.: Dinner is on your own tonight. You can dine in the hotel dining room and
spend a relaxing evening at the hotel. A shuttle will also be offered to historic Queen Street to discover the many places to dine in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The bus will depart to historic Queen Street at 5:30 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
DAY TWO–Thursday, August 15, 2024
7:30-9 a.m.: Enjoy a breakfast buffet in the Cannery Restaurant at the Pillar and Post Inn.
This is our breakfast spot both mornings.
9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Free time to explore the shops and restaurants of the beautiful and walkable shopping district of Niagara on the Lake.
***If you’re not into shopping and strolling, the Hotel has a spa and pool for your relaxation pleasure. Also please see Kim for other area attractions of interest.
Lunch is on your own today and there are multiple cafes and restaurants along Queen Street for your dining pleasure.
1:15 p.m.: Bus will pick up guests in the parking lot of the Pillar and Post and take them to the Festival Theater, 10 Queen’s Parade, Niagara-on-the-Lake.
1:30 p.m.: Check in at the flagship 856 seat Festival Theater complex for the 2 p.m. 62nd Season Shaw Festival matinee performance of My Fair Lady. Guests will enjoy excellent seats for this classic musical with music and lyrics by Lerner and Lowe.
5:30-7 p.m.: Group dinner at the Tiara Room in the Queen’s Landing Hotel, 155 Byron Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, L0S 1J, Canada. Enjoy the beautiful ambiance and view of the Niagara River in the lovely Tiara Room Restaurant at the Queen’s Landing Hotel (a sister property of the Prince of Wales Hotel). Buffet dinner. Cash bar will be available. The bus will take guests back to the hotel for those that do not want to walk and then park for the night.
DAY THREE–Thursday, August 16, 2024
8-9 a.m.: Breakfast buffet in The Cannery Restaurant, Pillar and Post Inn and Spa.
Please leave your bag outside your room before you go to breakfast for the hotel baggage
handlers.
9:30 a.m.: Please be on the bus ready to depart by 9:30 a.m. and return your key to the front desk prior to boarding the bus.
10-11 a.m.: Neob Lavender and Flower Farm, 933 Niagara Stone Rd., Niagara-on-the-Lake L0S 1J0, Canada. Enjoy a truly remarkable experience as you are immersed in the vibrant colors and enchanting scents of nature’s abundance. Be amazed by the over 20,000 lavender plants and more than two acres of pick-your-own flowers at this local oasis of ever-changing beauty.
Noon-2 p.m.: The “Made in America” Flagship Store, 1000 W. Maple Court, Elma, New York, 14059. Enjoy a greeting from the owner of this unique flagship store where all things are “Made in America.” Guests will enjoy a local chef-prepared group buffet picnic lunch and have time to shop before heading home to Pittsburgh.
2:30 p.m.: Depart for home.
4 p.m.: Rest stop enroute.
7 p.m.: Return to Holy Trinity Cathedral parking lot.
