Escape for a relaxing day exploring the beautiful rolling hills of Geauga County, Ohio. Our afternoon tea adventure includes round-trip transportation by luxury motorcoach, an elegant afternoon tea and Ohio country shopping and treats. All gratuities are included.
8:30 a.m.: Depart Jeanette Assembly of God church parking lot at 246 Pleasant Valley Road, Jeannette, PA 15644.
10 a.m.: Rest stop enroute.
11:30 a.m.: Arrive at Quintealia's Tea Parlour, 14585 E. Park St., Burton, Ohio 44021. Welcome to Quintealia’s Tea Parlour, a charming Victorian-style tea room located in a restored 1891 Queen Anne-style mansion in Burton, Ohio. Known for its elegance, ambiance, antique decor, and fine china, Quintealia’s offers traditional afternoon tea service featuring homemade scones, soups, and desserts. Enjoy a delicious three-tiered afternoon tea in this unique setting.
1:30-2:30 p.m.: Next stop is Rothenbuhler Cheese Chalet, 15815 Nauvoo Rd. Middlefield, Ohio 44062. Enjoy a taste of the Swiss Alps, but much closer to home. The Cheese Chalet offers an array of gourmet cheeses, meats, and other goodies from Geauga County. Make a stop in the onsite museum to watch a short film highlighting the heritage of Swiss cheesemaking. There are multiple displays showcasing the great pride of this family-owned cheesemaking business, established in 1956 by Swiss immigrant Hans Rothenbuhler. A wonderful place to visit for locals and visitors alike.
2:45-4 p.m.: Visit the End of the Commons General Store, 8719 State Route 534, Mesopotamia, Ohio 44439. Take some time to browse Ohio's oldest continuously operating general store, built in 1840 and located in the historic village of Mesopotamia. The store features creaky old floors, antique displays, bulk foods, local nostalgic treats, hand-dipped ice cream, homemade fudge, and penny candy. Shop for unique toys, kitchen gadgets, and Amish-made goods. Grab a snack for the bus ride home in the deli. Everyone gets an award-winning apple fry pie to enjoy on the bus ride home.
6:30 p.m.: Approximate return to Jeannette Assembly of God Church parking lot.
