A WWII Re-Enactment Train: “Last Train to Remagen” on the Scenic Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad


9 a.m.- sharp!  Depart the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church parking lot at 418 Maxwell Drive Pgh., PA 15236. Breakfast treat and water on the bus. Bathroom break along the way.


11 a.m. – Arrival at the Oil Creek and Titusville Train Railroad, Perry St. Depot. Enjoy free time to explore the WWII encampments surrounding the station, the gift shop and depot. Coach Train Car boarding begins at NOON. Please note: the historic train cars are not heated or air conditioned, please dress appropriately for the weather.  


1 p.m.– Depart for a 3 ½ -hour roundtrip train ride through the beautiful Oil Creek State Park to view the WWII encampments along the way. The train travels at about 12 mph so there is plenty of time for viewing and photography. Guests will be served a boxed lunch on board. Please choose either turkey or ham sandwich when making your reservation.  There is a snack bar car on board the train as well for other purchases. At a mid-point stop on the train route guests are invited to debark the train and witness the reenactment battle of Remagen and cheer for the Allied Troops to reclaim the train. It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind adventure.  


4:30 p.m. – Return to the Depot


5:15 p.m. – Eddie’s Footlong Hot Dogs Enjoy a  mouthwatering footlong hot dog , French fries and a drink at this iconic restaurant in Meadville that been serving Eddie’s famous footlongs for 73 years. 


6:30 p.m.Hank’s World Famous Frozen Custard, Meadville, Pa. We will make a final stop for a sampling of Hank’s world famous delicious frozen custard (since 1952) to enjoy on the ride home.


9 p.m. – Return to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.


  • No refunds are issued but the tour may be transferred to another person for that same tour. Passport to Pittsburgh reserves the right to cancel any tour due to inclement weather or if the minimum of 15 people is not met.
