Discover the world of Old Order Amish in nearby Mercer County with our expert “Stepon Guide”, Susan Hougelman. Susan will take us on a behind-the-scenes exploration ofthe Amish way of life. With your bag in hand, you will collect 4 homemade Amish giftsalong the way and then enjoy a delicious lunch.
Tour includes: round-trip transportation by luxury shuttle, 2-1/2 hour backroads Amish Country tour with gifts, a delicious homestyle lunch at The Tavern on the Square. Driver gratuity is not included. (Suggested $5 pp.)
8 a.m.: Depart Holy Trinity Orthodox Church 450 Maxwell Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
10 a.m: Enjoy an Amish Goodness and Goodies Tour starting with a two-hour backroads tour of Amish Country and learn the history and culture of our nearby Amish friends with our local step on guide , Susan Houghelman. A variety of stops will include an Amish grocery store, bakery, greenhouse and quilt shop for tasting, shopping and collecting. **Please bring CASH as the Amish do not accept credit cards.
1-2:30 p.m.: Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table homestyle chicken and biscuit luncheon at the Tavern on the Square in New Wilmington. This charming historic landmark restaurant will not disappoint!
4 p.m.: Approximate return to Holy Trinity Church depending on traffic.
“Amish Goodness and Goodies” Tour
- No refunds are issued but the tour may be transferred to another person for that same tour. Passport to Pittsburgh reserves the right to cancel any tour due to inclement weather or if the minimum is not met.
