Tour includes: round-trip transportation by luxury motorcoach, shopping, lunch on your own, and ice cream at Walnut Creek Cheese and Market, main floor ticket to Glenn Miller Orchestra: “In The Holiday Mood” concert, and all-you-can-eat Amish dinner buffet. Driver gratuities are not included. (Suggested $5 pp.)
8:30 a.m.: Depart Holy Trinity Orthodox Church 450 Maxwell Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
10:30-11:45 a.m.: Walnut Creek Cheese and Market. There is plenty of time for some holiday shopping in this amazing fresh food market, which features meats and cheeses, bakery, produce, bulk food, as well as a large kitchenware, giftware, and home decor department. Grab some lunch and an ice cream cone on your own at the Mudd Valley Cafe and Creamery, located upstairs.
Noon: Arrive at the Ohio Star Theater Complex in Sugar Creek, Ohio. This beautiful venue is home to live musical , concerts and special events throughout the year. There is also a restaurant, bakery and three level gift barn located on site for guests to explore before and after the show.
1-3:30 p.m.: Ohio Star Theater for the Glenn Miller Orchestra Christmas Concert “In The Holiday Mood.” Enjoy this captivating holiday program presented by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. This festive extravaganza of timeless melodies with swinging arrangements that made this orchestra an icon of the Big Band Era. The program will feature a festive blend of beloved holiday classics reimagined in the Orchestra’s signature style. The musicians’ precision and harmonies transport audiences to a bygone era. This wonderful orchestra plays an average of 300 concerts a year and showcases a spirited brass section, lush saxophone solos and enchanting vocals. The “In the Holiday Mood” Concert is a sentimental holiday journey you won’t want to miss.
3:45-5:30 p.m.: Buffet at the Dutch Valley Restaurant. Guests will enjoy an all-you-can-eat large country buffet featuring roasted chicken, roast beef, multiple side dishes, homemade pies and other fresh baked goods. (The buffet is located adjacent and within walking distance to the theater.)
7:30 p.m.: Approximate return to Holy Trinity Church depending on traffic.
In the Holiday Mood
- No refunds are issued but the tour may be transferred to another person for that same tour. Passport to Pittsburgh reserves the right to cancel any tour due to inclement weather or if the minimum is not met.
