An NFL Draft Beyond Pittsburgh Adventure 

The Oakland Treasures Tour

9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tour includes: round-trip transportation by luxury shuttle, all admissions and tours, and a surprise dessert stop. (Driver gratuity is not included. Suggested $5 pp.)

 

9:30 a.m.: Depart the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd., Pittsburgh, Pa 15236.

 

10-11:45 a.m: Arrive at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. Guests will enjoy a self-guided tour of one of Pennsylvania’s best-known historical landmarks and a beautiful Oakland treasure. Soldiers & Sailors is a unique military memorial dedicated to preserve a lasting tribute to those men and women who unselfishly gave of themselves in serving their country, particularly during American conflicts. The hall opened its doors in 1910 and continues to improve upon the visitor experience at this local treasure.

OR 

Phipps Conservatory’s Spring Flower Show. Since 1894, Phipps’ Spring Flower Show has provided Pittsburgh with a burst of color and fragrance after a long winter. This year’s Spring Flower Show: True Colors shows off some of our most colorful displays while celebrating the role Phipps has had in the lives of generations of guests 

 

Noon-1:30 p.m.: Lunch on your own in Oakland. Beautiful Craig Street offers multiple options such as Lucca or Union Grill.

 

1:45-2:45 p.m.: We will visit Heinz Memorial Chapel. Guests will enjoy a private tour of this gorgeous non-denominational chapel, donated to the University of Pittsburgh by H.J. Heinz and Family, and dedicated in 1938 in honor of their mother, Anna Heinz. Learn about the symbolism of the 30-foot-tall stained glass windows and marvel at the sound of the beautiful organ.  

 

3-3:30 p.m.: Enjoy a sweet surprise at this yummy Oakland treasure.

 

4 p.m.: Return to The David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
