Deb Mortillaro P2P
Deb Mortillaro

A trusted educator, advisor and co-founder of Palate Partners School of Wine & Spirits, Deb Mortillaro has helped hundreds of students from beginner-level enthusiasts to industry professionals elevate their knowledge of wine and spirits.

Mortillaro recently earned Level 3 Awards in Wine, Spirits and Sake from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, an achievement that only two other women in North America have attained. Her journey in the food and beverage industry began in 1979, when she graduated with honors from the Culinary Institute of America, and served as a private chef in Pittsburgh for 15 years. She joined Mike Gonze of Dreadnought Wines to co-found the Palate Partners School of Wine & Spirits in 1992.

Years of travel in France, Portugal and Japan led Mortillaro to pursue additional education, as well as her most recent certification of Advanced Sake Sommelier. Her hands-on approach to teaching technical tasting skills, geography and cultural nuance gives students a solid foundation in the exciting international world of wine and spirits.

Cheese Queen P2P
Megan McGinnis
The story of The Cheese Queen begins with deeply rooted family traditions. Megan's family owned a multi-generational grocery market dated all the way back to 1946. For years, she cherished Sunday trips gallivanting around the city with her gandmother to visit all of her favorite specialty shops. She learned the love of charcuterie from that Queen, and boy was she something special!

Following her example, as a young adult, Megan landed a job in the Specialty Meats and Cheese section of the family business where she grew her expertise even further, tasting, experimenting, and discovering different pairings and all of the latest trends.

Enter: The Cheese Queen. Priceless lessons from my grandmother continued to carry on through my life. She taught that you don’t need fancy, complicated recipes, just good food made with fresh, quality ingredients and a whole lot of love.
