WUNDERBAR: THE PITTSBURGH OCTOBERFEST TOUR

Spend a fun day exploring the German roots of Pittsburgh! Our first delicious stop is at the Original Pretzel Shop in Southside for a hot Bavarian pretzel straight from the historic brick oven. Then enjoy a German buffet lunch of snitzel, wursts, red cabbage, spaetzle and German potato salad at the Hofbaus Haus. Dessert is served at the oldest private club in Pittsburgh and on the National Registry of Historic places: The Teutonia Mannerchor. Optional inclusions might include a tour and tasting Penn Brewery, still making beer in the German Style of Beermaking or a tour of the Priory Hotel once a German Catholic Monastery. We finish with a driving tour through the charming Pittsburgh Northside neighborhood and National Historic District of Deutschtown. It’s truly a “wunderbar” kind of day.
